New Artists for Thermopolis Art Stroll
The Second Friday ArtStroll in Thermopolis, January 12 and 13, kicks off the Smoking Waters Art Guild’s 2018 calendar. Strolling with the Music is the theme. There will be artists showing and selling their creations, along with musicians, at the businesses and a special musical activity from 5pm to 8pm on Friday. StillStrollingSaturday continues Saturday during regular business hours.
Hot Springs County Museum and Cultural Center will be the base for a special musical presentation on Friday evening. Songbirds will entertain with beautiful music and will also have interactive opportunities for folks of all ages to try out instruments. Additional musicians including Harold Hutson, John Brooks and friends will be performing around Thermopolis. Also on the music theme, Flying Eagle Gallery features Tom Butler and Jondi Alcorn’s Spin Records. Recycle vinyl records by turning them into cool art clocks and earrings.
Thermopolis Print Zone and Copy Shop/Discover Thermopolis will host artists Robert Stehlin and Beth Stehlin, who are new to the ArtStrolls. Robert is an accomplished woodturner and Beth makes hand embroidered note cards. Additional artists around Thermopolis include Angela Siems and her pastels and acylics, Barbara Clothier and her photography and note cards, Stephanie Conrad with her large and changing selection of handmade and repurposed items. Hospital Auxiliary New Year Bake Sale, jewelry by Ana Mosser, and repurposed items by Barb Rice will also be features.
Strollers are encouraged to pick up a map at any stroll business to find the location of artists and musicians.
