They’re going to Nationals!
CB&T is helping to send the Thermopolis FFA Chapter to the National FFA Convention in Indiana this month thanks to its patrons, Barbara Jean Kissel and Kaitlyn Schmuck. These girls and their Chapter took 1st place at Wyoming’s State Convention in Cheyenne, earning them an invitation to compete at Nationals.
This spring, the Thermopolis Chapter was challenged to build a booth that would introduce guests and members to the agriculture traditions specific to Wyoming. This year, the central theme of the booth challenge was “Ag Impacts”. In response, the Chapter elected to explain how Wyoming agriculture is both nationally and internationally impactful by highlighting Wyoming’s top exports and their rank in comparison to other states. The Chapter explained the importance of Wyoming agriculture to our nation and how we affect agriculture on a global level.
The Thermopolis FFA Chapter will be representing Wyoming among 48 other states and 64,000 people visiting the convention hall, based on last year’s attendance statistics.
“We are so excited for the Thermopolis FFA Chapter to be representing Wyoming at Nationals and all of us a CB&T are rooting for you!” —Kent Cordingly, CB&T Thermopolis Branch President
The Thermopolis FFA Chapter would like to thank CB&T and their other community supporters for showing continued support and involvement in enriching the education of Thermopolis students.
