Oktobrewfest forecasts clear skies… maybe
Main Street Thermopolis can’t guarantee the weather for Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 15th, but can guarantee that everyone will have a wonderful time. This “rain or shine” event will start at 11am on Broadway in Thermopolis and run until 8pm. Come and enjoy the music, the food, the games and all the fun. Especially come and enjoy 10 varieties of craft beer that will be available.
Get a taste of Thermopolis’ history as we celebrate the 1ooth birthday of almost 15 buildings in the Historic Downtown and join us in the afternoon to sing “Happy Birthday” and help us blow out the candles on a cake baked specially for the occasion. Try your hand at the corn hole competition and win one of several prizes including a set of corn hole boards made by S Squared Designs. Watch your kids smile as they enjoy the Bouncy House courtesy of Tumbleweed Propane.
This year’s music includes Ryan Martin, Eric Kay, Steve Frame, Virgil Bailey, Kerry Wallace with Cal Winland, and The Silvertip String Band with Michael Wright. The finale features the Alt Rock/Blues song writing band, Shark Twain. A special feature this year will be an “Open Mike” from 11am to noon where local musicians will be able to show off their talent. When Oktobrewfest comes to an end, music will continue at One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company.
There is so much to do at Main Street Thermopolis’ Oktobrewfest that a guarantee of a good time is better than a guarantee of good weather.
